Craven County Government Recreation Gym Supervisor - Part-time (11044) in New Bern, North Carolina
Primary Purpose
This position supervises the participants for indoor youth volleyball held at the gym of HJ MacDonald Middle School for games and practices as well as the youth beach volleyball leagues held at Creekside Park.
Essential Functions
- Ensure participants are conducting themselves safely in accordance with the guidelines established by the Recreation Department.
- Make sure the proper equipment is available for practices and games.
- Secures the gym and courts after each program is completed, making sure the gym is left clean
- Works with coaches and parents to assure the program is running smoothly.
- Responsible for making sure equipment and courts are ready for play.
- Helps instruct players and coaches during the season.
- Work in coordination with staff to communicate with parents during the season.
Minimum Education and Experience
Understand the rules of volleyball. Experience leading group activities.
Additional Information
This position primarily works nights and weekends during the Fall and Spring volleyball seasons.
