Coastal Diesel Service Inc. Diesel Technician in New Bern, North Carolina
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing and rebuilding of mechanical injection pumps and injectors.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical pumps and injectors.
- Conduct inspections and identify issues using schematics and diagnostic equipment.
- Understanding of how to clean, tear down, assemble and test our re-manufactured fuel injection pumps and injectors.
- Uses chemical and mechanical methods to clean incoming pumps and injectors under company protocols.
- Tear down of cleaned assemblies using hand and small power tools as needed.
- Uses various tools and equipment to assemble the pump or injector.
- Provide excellent customer service while addressing client concerns.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
Experience
- Prior experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately.
- Can work independently.
- Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with clients.
- A general tool set is required.
- Wage is dependent on experience.
