This is a position with global grade 12This position reports to Application Engineering ManagerYour role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process by adapting ABB\'s products with customer applications to meet their requirements/specifications. Each day, you will select optimized products and technology for adaptation, prepare relevant documentation, and serve as a key technical resource for the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities by proactively prospecting, networking. The work model for the role is: #LI - Hybrid This role is contributing to the Motion Drive Products division in New Berlin, WI area. You will be mainly accountable for: *Power system analysis using commercially available software (eg ETAP, ANSYS, SKM, EasyPower). *Ability to model, using simulation software tools, transformer configurations (Wye, closed delta, open delta, zig-zag, extended delta, corner grounded network), power quality issues around the following Harmonics, Transients (lightning, switching), Sags, Swells, Power Factor correction and Voltage distortion. *Ability to troubleshoot AC and DC drive systems and associated products (CBs, contactors, PTs, CTs, etc). Including Low voltage and medium voltage products and power systems, Grounding methods, Power quality issues, System efficiency and Interference (EMI, EMC). *Ability to create detail technical reports on product issues that need to be corrected by other departments and setup and preform product, customer, performance testing in the lab to help answer customer...
