Warehouse Supervisor

Reporting To: General Manager

Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 / year

Description

To prioritize the daily shipments of customer orders to ensure on-time delivery that meets the customers’ needs. Responsible for the packaging, storage, inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and all the shipping/receiving activities. Responsible for reporting monthly data to the warehouse manager. Responsible for assisting in the shipping and receiving areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise warehouse, shipping and receiving personnel

  • Ensure Key Performance indicators of efficiency and performance are met or exceeded

  • Identify, recommend, and implement changes to improve processes

  • Review and update

  • tandard operating procedures for warehouse operations.

  • Prioritize the daily shipments and assign employees tasks throughout the day including tasks and work orders

  • Assign cycle counts to employees and process the cycle counts into the system and report monthly results to warehouse manager

  • Assist in pulling and packaging of product for shipments to ensure packaging guidelines for specific product and special customer requirements meet those guidelines

  • Provide training for new products, new employees, and changes to warehouse processes

  • Ability to work/cover the receiving area by breaking down cartons, matching to the packing lists/manifests and scanning and labeling the product

  • Ability to work/cover the shipping area by processing both international (exports) and domestic shipments. Process shipments via various freight carrier portals and arrange daily pickups with the carriers.

  • Potential project work assigned by the warehouse manager

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 5+ years of supervisory and inventory control experience is preferred

  • Strong organizational/planning skills required

  • Microsoft excel and word computer skills required

  • Strong communication skills – verbal, written, and interpersonal required

  • Excellent math skills required

  • Root cause problem solving required

  • Multitasking is required

  • Ability to operate or learn to operate department equipment including but not limited to electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, electronic scales, etc.

  • Ability to learn part number configurations and knowledge of product

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • High school or equivalent is required

  • Associates degree or 5 years of equivalent experience is preferred

  • Lean six sigma experience is preferred

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting base pay for this role is $50,000 to $60,000 per year.

Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining us, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company.
