ATI is seeking to hire a Maintenance Supervisor to join ATI's Specialty Rolled Products team in New Bedford, MA.

This position is responsible for identifying and troubleshooting issues and assuring area electrical equipment, facilities, and utilities are optimally maintained for efficient, continuous, reliable and uninterrupted operation in-order-to meet production goals and objectives.

You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including a unionized workforce, engineering, quality, and safety. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to act quickly and make impactful decisions, and exceptional interpersonal skills are included in the skillset of a successful E&I Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Manage concurrent maintenance activities in order to effectively maintain industrial manufacturing equipment and facilities on a 7-day/week, 24-hour basis.

  • Lead crew by developing, educating, and guiding in proper maintenance and schedule daily shift work to complete preventive maintenance activities, prioritize break-in work according to established critical equipment list.

  • Perform data recording for equipment downtime, failure analysis, PSM and Title V documentation.

  • Ensure all supervised employees meet annual safety training requirements, continuing education for licensing, and adhere to all government regulations as well as Company policies and procedures.

  • Oversee PM of valves & monitoring systems.

  • Oversee the monitoring and calibration of temperature monitoring systems, thermocouples, vacuum instruments, PH probes, and pressure gauges

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience with maintenance of electrical equipment and  instrumentation in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment.

  • Electrical and/or Instrumentation background (State Electrical License is highly preferred).

  • At least 3 years of formal or informal leadership experience.

* Preferences & Skills*

  • Associate's degree in Engineering or a Maintenance-related discipline.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team-oriented management environment.

  • At least 2 years of experience utilizing computerized maintenance management systems and software.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software Suite particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Experience with LEAN manufacturing practices and continuous improvement concepts.

  • Experience supervising bargaining unit employees.

  • Clear understanding of Quality documentation related to calibration and testing of thermocouples, PH probes, pressure and vacuum instrumentation.

  • Familiar with P&ID loops and knowledge of symbols.
