Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in New Albany, Indiana
Description We are looking for a meticulous Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team based in New Albany, Indiana. In this role, you will be tasked with handling customer accounts, processing credit transactions, and maintaining accurate records. You will also be involved in resolving customer billing issues, monitoring credit lines, and preparing new customer files.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently manage customer credit applications and maintain precise records.
• Handle daily cash receipts postings accurately.
• Regularly assess customer accounts and take appropriate action on any outstanding receivables.
• Ensure the accuracy of customer accounts and keep all account information up-to-date.
• Promptly address and resolve any customer billing issues, maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Regularly report on customer aging and collection efforts, while also monitoring customer credit lines.
• Assist in the creation of new customer files, including the collection and submission of customer credit information.
• Produce and analyze reports as necessary, identifying trends and implementing corrective measures when required.
• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of credit card transactions.
• Contribute to daily billing processes, adjustments, refunds, write-offs, and other related clerical support functions. Requirements • Proficient in account reconciliation processes and techniques
• Demonstrated experience in accounts receivable (AR)
• Solid understanding of billing procedures and systems
• Skilled in cash applications and management
• Proficiency in cash collections and commercial collections
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Prior experience with Oracle software
• Familiarity with QuickBooks software
• Experience with SAP software systems
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must have a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Possesses a strong work ethic and demonstrates professionalism at all times
• Willingness to continue learning and improving accounting skills.
