The Position

Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.

The Nevada Parole and Probation Division (NPP) is recruiting to fill a Management Analyst I position within the General Services Unit in Carson City. The incumbent will perform a broad variety of administrative support duties to include but not limited to supervision and training of assigned staff and gathering statistical data and providing system reports from the offender records management system. The incumbent will ensure appropriate records retention and dissemination, statistical reporting and analysis, and all matters related to the use of computer programs, equipment, and technology. This position is the Division's Terminal Agency Coordinator and Spillman and ICOTS Liaison and oversees and administers the Division's NCIC and NCJIS programs and serves as the NCIC Security Point of Contact. The incumbent will be required to obtain JL Client certification within six months of employment and possess the necessary skills to perform advanced level work to include providing direction and training to others. To Qualify:

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and one year of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of professional experience as described above; OR two years of experience as an Accountant Technician I or Tax Examiner II in Nevada State service; OR one year of experience as an Accountant Technician II or Fiscal/Business Professional Trainee III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

Special Requirements

This position requires a State of Nevada/FBI fingerprint-based background check as a condition of appointment and as condition of continuing employment.

Additional Position Criteria

This recruitment is only open to current classified employees in state service with at least six months of continuous, full-time equivalent service.
