The Position

Maintenance Repair Workers perform semi-skilled work in the building and mechanical trades to repair, construct, and/or maintain buildings, facilities and equipment.-

We are seeking a Maintenance Repair Worker II. In this role, you will perform semi-skilled work across various building and mechanical trades to maintain, repair, and construct facilities and equipment. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Execute basic plumbing tasks such as measuring, cutting, and assembling pipe fixtures, installing and repairing valves, sinks, toilets, and unclogging drains to ensure efficient plumbing systems. Carry out basic carpentry work including repairing furniture, patching roofs, installing walls and doors, and maintaining flooring and window coverings. Perform interior and exterior painting duties, including surface preparation, taping, texturing, and applying paint using various tools and techniques. And other duties as assigned. To Qualify:

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

One year of experience performing semi-skilled work in the building and/or mechanical trades; OR one year of experience as a Maintenance Repair Worker I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

Special Requirements

Some positions require a valid Class A, B, or C driver's license at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. Some positions are subject to call-back after work hours and call-out on weekends and holidays. These positions will be identified at the time of recruitment.
