The Position

Clinical Program Planners perform and supervise a variety of planning and analytical functions in support of clinical programs and activities within divisions of the Department of Health and Human Services, including quality improvement, program design, policy and procedure development, program evaluation, research, contract and grant development and administration, strategic planning, and training initiatives.

Clinical Program Planner II's supervise quality improvement and quality assurance, program planning, program evaluation, and/or contract administration for multiple service delivery programs statewide.

The Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) is recruiting for a Clinical Program Planner 2. (CPP) The CPP works within a multi-disciplinary program responsible for expansion of home and community-based services for children and youth birth to age 21 statewide. The incumbent will be responsible for children's behavioral health training development, provision of training, clinical consultation, technical assistance and quality improvement and policy alignment for community and public agency children's behavioral health providers and stakeholders; support expansion of Nevada's children's behavioral health provider network adequacy; supervision, evaluation, and management of staff as assigned; research and analysis of issues related to children's behavioral health issues; develop policies, procedures and standards; develop quality assurance and quality control measures; data collection and analysis; review, finalize and submit written reports; and maintain knowledge of federal and state laws regulating home and community-based services for youth birth to age 21. To Qualify:

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a social science or health related field, which included clinical intervention coursework, and three years of professional experience in a mental health or intellectual disability service delivery setting including work as a clinician and in program evaluation and/or program planning; OR an equivalent combination of experience and education above the master's degree level.

Some positions require professional licensure, certification, and/or specialized experience which will be identified at the time of recruitment.

Special Requirements

A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.

Additional Position Criteria

Licensure in Nevada as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor or Licensed Psychologist issued by the appropriate licensing authority is required at time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
