Are you passionate about fragrance creation and developing the fragrances of tomorrow?

We are now seeking for a motivated and result driven talent to join our Scent Regulatory Affairs team. As aRegulatory Manager, you will be responsible for the regulatory compliance and conformity to customer requirements for scent products, including fragrances (Fine and beauty business) for Regional customers from Europe/Africa/Middle-east. In a regulatory landscape that is continuously evolving and with our customers increasingly aiming for more innovation and differentiation, you’ll be working in close collaboration with perfumers, scent design managers, account teams and customers.

This role will be reporting to the Director of Regulatory Affairs, EAME. You will be part of the European creative center based in Neuilly-sur-seine with minimum 3-4 days on site per week.

About You:

To be successful in this role you must have minimum of 10 years of previous experience in a similar position in the fragrance industry. You will need to demonstrate a strong solution-oriented mindset, innovative thinking, strong stakeholder management, strategic agility, and cross-functional collaboration and influencing skills.

You will spend your time :

• Working at Regulatory Affairs EAME in Neuilly- Sur- Seine (Paris) liaising with other Regulatory Affairs departments around the world

• Have an understanding of customer requirements.

• Having close relationships with customers and taking them through the regulatory world of scent.

• Providing support for all product compliance/regulatory, for fragrances and fragrance ingredients, including compliance reviews and documentation

• Managing a team of regulatory Juniors and Specialists.

• Data management for compliance systems

• Developing and implementing solutions pro-actively in preparation of upcoming regulatory changes, to drive differentiation and support customer needs related to sustainability

• Articulate and execute GRA strategy by giving internal and external presentations

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Knowledge:

• Demonstrate ability to work within a team

• Presentation skill is a must

• You have skills in excel, data’s manipulation

• You have a strong eye for detail, strong organizational skills and a customer mind set.

• You are fluent in English and French

• You can adapt quickly

• Able to communicate effectively between departments and external associations with varying priorities

• Able to operate effectively within our regulatory systems, documentation systems, and office systems.

• Review fragrance formulas for compliance with applicable regulations, customer requirements and industry guidelines

• Provide customer support to sales, creative and applications, for fragrance safety and regulatory issues. Prepare customer documentation for fragrance formulas

• Demonstrate organizational skills as well and a customer service approach

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workload to meet multiple deadlines.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of previous experience in regulatory compliance role or a related field

• People management experience

• Fragrance compliance experience

• Knowledge of the fragrance and EU Cosmetics Regulation is a must; knowledge of cosmetic regulation (proposition 65, Carb voc, Australia, China…); knowledge of ingredients at risk, trends, natural and sustainable attributes and certification (example biodegradation, ISO 16128 and more) is a plus
