JOB REQUIREMENTS: Finishing Backup Operator - R6178 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Functions: * Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures * Understand job ticket information to determine quantity, special work instructions, and any other special customer requirements * Determine the best manufacturing method to produce product efficiently and effectively * Stage material and supplies needed to run production job * Set up equipment in a timely manner, as needed * Assist the operator with maintaining high production efficiencies according to established rates during operation of the assigned equipment * Be competent in the tasks required to be able to move between all folder gluer and finishing equipment and shifts to fill for vacation and absences as needed * Perform feed and/or delivery tasks on various pieces of finishing equipment * Troubleshoot and make decisions regarding the quality of finished product * Complete required quality inspections and paperwork * Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance * Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned press and surrounding area * Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements * Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives * Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner * Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business * Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed * Ability to effectively work in teams * Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people * Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles * Mechanical aptitude Education/Certification High school diploma or equivalent desired but not required. ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply Online: https://tinyurl.com/ycx4fs4b Other: Applicants ONLY to apply via URL link provided!
