Needham Bank FVP, System Delivery Director in Needham, Massachusetts
Job Descriptions:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FVP, Systems Delivery Director to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving the strategic direction and oversight of IT Delivery Leads across our various platforms including retail banking, lending, online digital, integrations, and enterprise systems. This role will work closely with senior leaders across the bank to develop and deliver a multi-year digital transformation plan, ensuring clear prioritization and optimization of existing technology investments and vendor relationships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide expertise and guidance in developing and maintaining the strategic technology direction and goals related to applications, integration, and reporting architecture.
Collaborate with leadership, business stakeholders, and external vendors to develop the IT systems roadmap and architecture aligning them with the strategic plan.
Primary IT liaison to the business ensuring that business goals and objectives are identified and addressed with appropriate technology solutions.
Collaborate closely with the PMO to ensure alignment on corporate priorities, technical strategy, and resource estimations & allocations. Fully engaged in solution design and delivery to minimize risks and gaps, ensuring that the final results meet both PMO efforts and business needs in an efficient manner.
Manage the design, development and deployment of the applications, integrations, and reporting architecture and/or enhancements to existing the existing architecture throughout the enterprise.
Collaborate with analysts, designers, and application owners and directs the integration and testing of new software programs, reports and applications.
Oversight of IT Change Management function to ensure availability, communication, and training of planned changes to curtail any potential negative impact to Needham Bank.
Directs IT Delivery teams to identify, plan and implement solutions that meet business objectives, including optimizing performance, availability and resolution of application issues.
Coordinates IT team efforts to deliver holistic technology solutions for business units. Strives to enhance product and platform efficiencies through ongoing stakeholder collaboration.
Responsible for technical design, development, and upgrades with all stakeholders.
Evaluates the technology landscape, identifies potential new product opportunities, emerging trends, and areas to increase efficiency.
Provide regular reporting to Executive leadership related to IT Systems Delivery activities.
Develop and monitor policies and procedures related to IT systems.
Provide technical leadership to project managers and engineers working on project teams.
Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to a high standard, risks are identified and mitigated accordingly, ensuring projects are appropriately estimated to be delivered on time and within budget.
Work with IT Vendor Management to verify vendor relationships are well maintained and operate within service level agreements or better.
Provide ownership and oversight of vendors providing critical banking and lending services for the Bank, including relationship and performance management of those vendors, and leading improvements or evaluations of alternatives as needed.
Exemplify high level of customer service and ensure commitments are met, recommending appropriate actions to develop and enhance metrics and service levels to measure the success and impact of IT System Delivery
Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices to continually improve the business development strategy.
May be involved in negotiating technology costs and scope in forecasting or within key technologies required to deliver program.
In absence of SVP of IT provide support and supervision of IT function.
Required Experience:
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 10 years managing application integration and support professionals
Extensive knowledge of line of business processes and applications, preferably in a financial services environment with strong understanding of regulatory and security requirements relating to IT Systems
Minimum of 10 years senior level management experience in a financial services environment
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Strong understanding of information security concepts
Extensive knowledge of the Bank's software applications, technological infrastructure, networking and network design, and all data processing systems
Proficiency in documenting process related to technology projects
Proficiency in developing policies and procedures related to technology solutions
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible schedules
Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks
Experience with MS-Office products, specifically; Visio, Excel, Word

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
BS/BA degree in computer science, related field equivalent experience
Expertise in IT security, application delivery concepts, and system architecture methodologies including waterfall, agile, ITIL, NIST, Kanban, and Quality Assurance practices along with familiarity with business, data, and application/integration architectures like TOGAF
Knowledge of the Bank’s software applications, technological infrastructure, networking and network design
Proven track record of leadership in technology management including excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Experience with core, lending origination systems, and retail bank technologies as utilized by the bank
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Normal business office environment
Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary
Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management
