Description We are looking for an Applications Architect with a focus on the banking industry. The role will be based in Needham, Massachusetts, and involves a wide range of responsibilities related to application integrations and data architecture. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the advancement of our technological capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Champion and deliver a fully capable integration program for the organization

• Evaluate solutions to centralize and migrate application integrations via enterprise software like MuleSoft, Tibco, Workato, Sandbox Banking, or LenderLink

• Develop standards for data architecture, system integration, and governance frameworks for consumption across the organization

• Provide recommendations for system architecture and technology stack upgrades, migrations, consolidation, and new deployment

• Automate workflows to replace manual efforts, improving efficiency, quality, and effectiveness of resources

• Interact with all system vendors to resolve problems quickly and accurately

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide expert advice on the use of integration technology and data architecture best practices

• Deliver proof of concept, contribute to ongoing development efforts, and perform advanced code/configuration review to ensure alignment with architecture standards

• Develop documentation of system design and integration flows, including sources of truth and ETL actions

• Oversee related steps within the Software Development Life Cycle to ensure standards adherence, including detailed technical specifications

• Create design documents and specifications to be utilized by internal resources and managed service providers for developing integrations as needed

• Assist with incident response, root cause analysis, business continuity, and associated monitoring capabilities to improve these activities

• Ensure security is incorporated by design within the integration architecture

• Effectively communicate program efforts across various levels of management and senior management to advance the program

• Provide leadership by instructing, mentoring and training team members across the organization

• Adhere to industry regulations and best practices for continuity, security, and integrity of the IT systems. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in the banking industry

• Proficiency in banking software and online banking platforms

• Proficiency in Application Integration and Enterprise Application Integration

• Familiarity with MuleSoft, TIBCO, and other relevant platforms

• Experience with application upgrades

• Ability to work with external vendors effectively

• Experience with ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes

• Proficiency in managing complex databases

• Experience with Soap Web Services, REST API, REST JSON, and XML

• Proven experience in automation processes

• Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements and architectures

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically about technology and business challenges
