Naval Supply Systems Command Office Assistant in Naval Support Activity, Pennsylvania

Summary You will serve as an Office Assistant in the Nuclear Reactor Supply Chain Management Directorate (NRSCMD) of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. Responsibilities You will receive telephone calls and visitors for the office and use judgment to determine the nature of the calls and refer to appropriate personnel. You will escort visitors, cleaning staff, mailroom personnel and employees as needed. You will prepare and obtain required data and/or information necessary to various Data Calls/Information requests. You will develop PowerPoint slides for briefs, presentations and reports as required. You will coordinate travel arrangements for personnel. You will manage calendars and meeting scheduling for the senior leadership team. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing work requiring a practical knowledge of office supply, office administration, and personnel support to provide management assistance. Specialized experience may include the following: 1) Develops presentations and reports for management briefs; 2) Provides telephone services such as answering phone calls and refers calls to appropriate personnel; 3) Greets visitors and refers them to appropriate organization; 4) Maintains office files and personnel records; 5) Receives, reviews and distributes mail based upon subject matter and content. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: 4 years of education above the high school level. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school.
