Military Sealift Command QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in Naval Base, Virginia

Summary You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT DIVISION (N92) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND. Responsibilities You will assess, evaluate and report on the effectiveness of the command's Internal Controls (IC's) throughout the organization. You will schedule, plan, coordinate, manage and execute internal and external command inspections and audits. You will identify gaps between current capabilities and desired capabilities as established by command leadership. You will identify leadership on how to improve ashore business operations to ensure effective and efficient business operations. You will prepare and present oral briefings for the opening and closing audit/inspection meetings. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience planning, directing, and conducting quality audits for a highly functioning International Organization for Standardization (ISO) management system. Experience in vessel operations and maintenance in both a commercial and military settings. Experience conducting and performing internal inspections and audits for a major U.S. Navy shore-based commands. Experience preparing detailed audit/inspection reports on various complex and controversial information for project managers, directorates, and special assistants.
