Naval Education and Training Command IT SPECIALIST (OS) in Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida

Summary You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (OS) in the INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY DIRECTORATE of INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION N6. Responsibilities You will serve as project leader and senior technical advisor for devising, implementing, and overseeing the information management plan for various Information Technology (IT) services. You will provide technical advice on risks that involves applying analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations. You will serve as the IT liaison providing engineering and operational support across multiple divisions and directorates within the organization. You will manage and oversee projects involved with providing administration, operations, and management services to assigned functional programs. You will provide expert advice to users, suggesting technically feasible solutions and recommending cost effective/efficient automation approaches that will result in positive impact for multiple users. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Regularly exercise discretionary and substantial advanced IT principles of technologies relative to operating systems, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Active Directory (AD), Enterprise endpoint software/hardware management for Enterprise Training Delivery Services (ETDS) solutions, and as trusted workforce requiring Enterprise Domain or Root access to BIND DNS to align enterprise technologies to NETC's strategic virtualization and modernization roadmap. 2)Provide technical assistance of mid- and long-range goals, objectives, establishment of timetables for standardized systems, active support and execution of standardized systems, and the active support and execution of IT programs and systems software. Some work may require walking and standing in conjunction with travel and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the work site. The work does not require any special physical effort. Occasional travel may be required. This position has been designated as a Cyber Workforce position in the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) role of (802) IT Program/Project Manager Proficiency level Expert and, as a condition of employment, the incumbent of the position is required to maintain qualifications in accordance with DON Cyber Workforce Program requirements of SECNAV M-5239.2. The incumbent participate in a continuous learning (CL) program as described in SECNAVINST 5239.20A and SECNAV M-5239.2. An annual 20 hour minimum of Cyber Workforce related continuous learning must be documented in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor. The incumbent must obtain the required credentials within 12 months of appointment and maintain those credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for DCWF (802) IT Program/Project Manager Proficiency level Expert IAW with SECNAV M-5239.2 Chapter 3, paragraph b (1) (g) 1.
