Summary You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Operations Officer of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE. Responsibilities You will evaluate Navy infrastructure throughout assigned PWD (e.g. mechanical/electrical systems and associated equipment) and determine methods to improve PM effectiveness. You will be responsible for the surveillance of planning and development of programmed maintenance data, plus flat file and/or CMMS direct entry as specified in BOS contract. You will examine and investigate PM change request and recommend whether or not to complement based on cost-benefit analysis, necessity and justification. You will administer all preventative maintenance programs and service contracts. You will provide continuing technical analysis during all phases of PM execution by the contractor, including reviewing and vetting proposed changes to PM task lists, additional time, frequencies and maintenance strategies. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: familiarity with operating computer programs (MS Office Outlook, Excel, Word, government Single Platform MAXIMO (SPM), E-Projects, and navigating NAVFAC shared drives; AND technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems applying knowledge of statistical techniques, failure mode analysis and cost-benefit methods to perform and apply the optimum maintenance strategies to meet command metrics requirements.
