Naval Intelligence Command INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST in National Maritime Intelligence Center, Maryland

Summary You will serve as a Foreign Materiel Acquisition (FMA) Target Strategist at the GG-13 level in the NAVAL INTELLIGENCE ACTIVITY located in Suitland, MD. All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. Responsibilities You will utilize a variety of tools, databases, and systems to inform and support acquisition development. You will identify updated targeting tools and systems, stay abreast of community best practices, and areas for potential increased collaboration. You will coordinate with respective counterparts throughout the Intelligence Community. You will apply quantitative and qualitative analytical methods, fact finding, and investigate techniques to provide project managers with objectively based information for making acquisition decisions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade level GG/GS-12 or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following such as: 1) Collaborate and assist with oversight of division targeting support, ensuring appropriate procedures are in place to meet Foreign Materiel Acquisition service-level needs and collection requirements; 2) Maintain awareness of all collection operations, policy developments, requirements, reporting and information priorities relevant to functional area of expertise or assigned target issue; and 3) Develop targeting plans for assigned functional area that expands capability and access for Foreign Materiel Acquisition.
