Northwestern State University College of Nursing and School of Allied Health seeks an applicant for a 12-month full-time faculty position for the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree programs available in any location served by NSU beginning August 12, 2024.

Applicants must be doctorally prepared and hold an unencumbered, Louisiana license as an RN or APRN. Teaching experience at the doctoral nursing level is preferred. Applicants must show evidence of ongoing scholarly activity, adeptness at online educational technology, and be eligible to serve as a member of Northwestern State University's Graduate Faculty. Must be willing to travel, pass a background check, and meet the required standards defined by the University.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be doctorally prepared.

  • Hold an unencumbered, Louisiana license as a registered nurse and/or advanced practice registered nurse.

  • At least three (3) years of clinical nursing experience.

  • Teaching experience at the doctoral nursing level is preferred.

  • Must show evidence of ongoing scholarly activity and adeptness at online educational technology.

  • Be eligible to serve as a full member of Northwestern State University's Graduate Faculty.

  • Willing to travel.

  • Must be able to pass a background check.

  • Must meet the required standards defined by the University.
