Amazon Warranty Manager, Surface Transportation Support & Fleet in Nashville, Tennessee

Description

The Warranty Manager oversees all aspects of warranty management, working to maximize cost savings and uptime by ensuring warranties are effectively utilized. This role involves negotiating with OEMs, suppliers, and third-party service providers to secure favorable returns on our warranty terms, policy adjustments, and downtime agreements. The Warranty Manager actively manages relationships with tier 1 suppliers to enable efficient third-party warranty work, minimizing disruptions to fleet operations. This position is responsible for tracking, processing, and documenting warranty claims, ensuring compliance with all contractual agreements, and holding vendors accountable for service standards. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, technical knowledge of Class 8 vehicles, and a proactive approach to resolving issues that impact fleet availability and cost efficiency.

Key job responsibilities

• Negotiate with suppliers and OEMs to enable third-party warranty work and favorable policy adjustments.

• Monitor OEM and supplier compliance with warranty and downtime agreements, holding parties accountable as needed.

• Process, track, and manage warranty claims to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement.

• Collaborate with outsourced service providers to reduce fleet downtime and optimize warranty utilization.

• Maintain detailed records and reporting on all warranty activities, claims, and negotiations to support fleet cost management and operational efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Fleet Management or maintenance experience

  • Previous warranty experience in the automotive, heavy equipment, or off road vehicle market is a must.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • Experience working with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM's)

  • Class 8 truck and trailer warranty experience in a large fleet.
