Job Summary:
In your pivotal role as Sr. Health Services Research Analyst, you will research projects in health services research, public health, epidemiology, medicine, health policy or related disciplines under occasional guidance. You also will utilize intermediate level research skills to perform a variety of research and operations-related activities including data management, report preparation, and management of project budgets and schedules for proposals and projects.
The primary responsibilities of this role will include the analysis of new and existing data sources, timely response to requests for data, development of tools to improve the acquisition of clinical data from a variety of sources, and basic statistical analysis. Scientific programming skills in languages such as java or python are helpful, but not required. A basic understanding of relational databases and the SQL programming language is required, as is a basic understanding of statistics. This position will provide the opportunity to work directly with physicians and principal investigators to learn important clinical concepts and informatics standards and skills, and will also provide the opportunity to publish findings.
