Job Purpose

The Sr. Electronic Business Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing, coding, configuring, unit testing, and promoting all electronic platform artifacts to various electronic platforms including vendor supported platforms. This includes providing support for delivery teams, business users, DTCC, Distributors and electronic vendor partners for feed testing and technology enhancements to include integrated testing and post implementation support. The role will establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external business partners and act as a liaison to assure that all expectations are met or exceeded. This position is expected to obtain expert level knowledge of our vendors' operational processes and business platforms. This role will require a solid understanding of Jackson's business model to determine the appropriate communication channels and involvement of respective stakeholders.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Designs, codes, tests, debugs, maintains, modifies, and documents solutions within specified domain.

  • Delivers solutions that align to architecture patterns for data and compute platforms, meeting business needs while evaluating tradeoffs between cost, performance, and maintainability.

  • Develop and maintain desired business value for complex business use cases.

  • Set, communicate, and reinforce technical standards.

  • Will work in partnership with business product owners, DevOps, DevSecOps, and Architecture to build and mature scalable and robust business capabilities.

  • Thought Leader in partnering with business users and technical team in implementing changes and delivering on business value.

  • Coach other team members in providing on-going support for Cloud DevOPS Engineering configuration, Architecture, and programming changes on an on-going basis.

  • Identifies and resolves complex systems problems that are scalable.

  • Conducts and coordinates the analysis, planning and implementation of related software.

  • Provides 3rd level technical support and consultation within domain.

  • Stays current with industry trends, making recommendations of new technologies that deliver strategic business value and reduce costs.

  • Ensures that platform patch management is kept current and vulnerabilities related to the domain documented, communicated, and addressed in a timely manner.

  • Participates in the industry forums and provides technical leadership on behalf of Jackson

  • Works with internal, external stakeholders and, product owner in gathering requirements and refining features/user stories

  • Works with internal, external stakeholders and, product owner in designing solutions and provides an architectural recommendations

  • Demonstrates solid experience of Annuity business and products

  • Analyzes, codes, configures, unit tests and promotes complex electronic platform artifacts (e.g. DPfA, PPfA, forms) to various electronic platforms (AN4, Affirm, Firelight, FIDx, etc.,).

  • Reviews the electronic platform vendor release documentation and provides guidance on updates required.

  • Adheres to ACORD standards educating others on the process.

Other Duties

  • May provide training to users on new/updated systems.

  • Available to provide on-call support after hours and on weekends as necessary

  • May participate in the evaluation and recommendation of new technologies.

  • Provides trending and related support for production issues as needed.

  • Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to explain and communicate technical concepts clearly to a Senior level audience.

  • Helps to articulate business value and recommends solutions to integrate domain principals within other applications/software/system components.

  • Promotes quality by performing code reviews, developing and enforcing coding standards, recognizing system deficiencies, and implementing effective solutions coaching other team members in this domain.

  • Actively seeks and participates in personal and team development opportunities and maintains knowledge in this domain. Monitors industry trends and developments to improve system design and customer service.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation creation and delivery.

  • Identifies systemic gaps and possible solutions for continuous improvements and modernization.

  • Understanding of Project Management tools, techniques and methodologies including Agile or Agile-SAFe.

  • Demonstrates solid experience in Annuity products and customization related to AoE platforms (AN4, Affirm, Firelight, FIDx, etc.,) and forms

  • Demonstrates solid experience in designing and configuring various AoE platforms (AN4, Affirm, Firelight, FIDx, etc.,) and forms

  • Demonstrates solid understanding of Annuity Policy Admin, Annuity New Business and Agent/Commission processes and applications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and/or education required.

  • 5+ years of IT related experience required.

  • Financial services and customer service experience preferred.

  • Data modeling experience preferred.

  • Experience with Zinnia – AN4/AMP, iPipeline - Affirm, Hexure – Firelight/Foresight, DTCC, DST, Envestnet, FIDx, or other Electronic Business financial services systems/financial technology systems required.

  • ACORD certification preferred.
