Job Description
The Senior Data & Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting the business in decision making and operations efforts by providing data, reporting and business intelligence services. This role is responsible for acting as a data and reporting expert for other members of the Reporting and Analytics team.
Responsibilities
Develop reporting solutions following internal reporting standards and best practices by translating business requirements for development within multiple reporting and prototyping platforms and determining appropriate solution design
Maintain and improve the reliability, efficiency and functionality of existing reports
Facilitate team request intake sessions to collect reporting requirements and determine project prioritization
Build and maintain reporting, data, and metrics governance processes
Develop strategic partnerships with various levels of leadership within the organization, acting as a representative of the broader Reporting and Analytics team
Coach and provide guidance to other members of the team and clients in the use and interpretation of data
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED required
5 years of work experience in data analysis and reporting
3 years of SQL experience
Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Additional Qualifications
Ability to analyze and solve complex problems using analytical tools
Time management and prioritization skills
Experience working with multiple business areas and different levels of leadership
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access tools
Prior experience with report generating technologies (such as SAS, Alteryx, Qlikview, Business Objects, Tableau, etc.)
Experience with data consolidation and modeling
Preferred Qualifications
Business Intelligence consulting experience
Project management / scrum leading experience
PBM experience or experience working with medical claims, pharmacy claims, healthcare and/or benefits data
Experience in the implementation of quality process improvement efforts
Experience using statistical/data analysis and best practices to identify risks and opportunities and define reporting solutions
Minimum Physical Job Requirements
Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Reporting Structure
- Reports to a Supervisor or Manager in Workforce Management, Shared Services or Member Operations
Potential pay for this position ranges from $81,000.00 - $138,000.00 based on experience and skills.
