Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager to join our team!

Responsible for procurement (e.g., purchasing and supply chain activities), as well as vendor management (e.g., negotiation, purchase, and relationships associated) with outsourced components. Responsibilities include:

• Product Sourcing

• Supplier Selection

• Pricing / Terms Negotiation

• Contract Administration

• Order Processing

• Supplier Performance Management

Manages or performs strategic sourcing work to manage risk and optimize the value/resilience of materials/services sourcing including:

• Establishing supplier relationship management processes and continuous improvement goals/programs.

• Negotiating contracts and coordinating supplier integration plans with internal clients.

• Monitors market dynamics that impact materials/services availability and/or pricing.

• Partners with internal clients to identify sourcing needs, develop buyer/market profiles, identify marketplace trends, and define acceptable service levels.

Responsibilities

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing lead for components of various commodities from a global supply base

  • Responsible to define and implement procurement strategy for assigned commodities that align with business objectives.

  • Develop relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Manage all contracting requirements with supply base to secure favorable terms for Firestone Airide, monitor adherence to terms and address improvements when required.

  • Develop, track, and report KPIs for key supplier activities.

  • Identify, engage, and assess capabilities of new vendors to supply materials and sub-assembly components to Firestone Airide.

  • Support cross-functional project teams to provide procurement input for key project milestones.

  • Lead project or process continuous improvement activities of diverse scope. Working independently, or as part of larger project team, make recommendations for improvement based on detailed analysis, and implement actions to drive improvements.

  • Coach and mentor team members and other functions in procurement best practices.

  • Experience with sourcing high volume sub-components that are used in final assembly, and familiar with a variety of manufacturing processes.

  • Ability to achieve objectives in a highly matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
