Job Summary and Qualifications

The Senior Manager of Safety & Compliance, Facility Management Services (FMS) is responsible for the development, standardization, implementation, and oversight of regulatory-related optimization projects with a focus on the Joint Commission Environment of Care and Life Safety chapters as they pertain to facility management. The Senior Manager of Safety & Compliance will leverage multiple data sources to analyze regulatory and operational data to identify and develop opportunities to optimize field operations and service offerings for the Facility Management Services organization within the HCA enterprise, often requiring engagement of and collaboration with other functional corporate departments, such as Design & Construction, Emergency Management, and Physical Security. This role will develop the framework of and manage enterprise life safety plan governance policy and procedures, and work with the Group Directors of Regulatory & Safety and CSRE to align enterprise data findings with field regulatory activities in HCA Healthcare’s compliance platform. The Sr. Manager will also be responsible for oversight of current and future barrier management programs within Facility Management Services, including supervision of the Door Program Manager and and all field-based barrier management technicians. The ability to navigate multi-functional teams, use data to identify opportunities for integrations and improvements, and understanding of business operations in a large organization will be crucial to success in this position

What you will do in this role includes:

Operations

  • Develop, implement, and monitor enterprise-wide programs that drive value in the organization.

  • Gather, review, and analyze compliance data to make recommendations and highlight areas of high importance to the Group Directors of Regulatory & Safety

  • Develop employee safety policies and procedures, in collaboration with CSRE, to be implemented enterprise-wide.

  • Standardize permitting processes.

  • Create standards for facility remediation plans based on survey findings.

  • Develop and implement governance framework of life safety plans.

  • Provide oversight and direct improvement of the FMS Barrier Management Program

  • Collaborate with other departments to improve FM shared service operations and identify areas to drive enterprise value

Training/Standardization

  • Develop OSHA training standards for all roles within the Facility Management Services (FMS) organization.

  • Develop and implement strategies for ensuring compliance with OSHA standards by field technicians in FMS.

  • Collaborate with Group Directors assist in development of ILSM, ICRA, and other construction documentation standard practices,

  • Drive improvement of compliance platform through user feedback,

  • Provide support in compliance matters

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree - Required

  • 7+ years of experience in hospital regulatory compliance and/or facility management - Required

  • Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
