Amazon RME Project Engineer, RME NASC in Nashville, Tennessee

Description

As part of the Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team, you will be responsible for supporting data analysis and deep dives to drive project success. This involves analyzing data at a granular level to uncover meaningful insights that can be effectively communicated to senior leadership. You will develop and edit QuickSite dashboards as needed to provide clear visualizations and reporting that facilitate data-driven decision making. Your ability to transform complex data into actionable intelligence will be crucial in optimizing maintenance processes and improving equipment reliability across the organization.

Key job responsibilities

Design, build, improve, and innovate order fulfillment infrastructure throughout the large-scale supply chain network

Manage, design, and drive implementation of large-scale programs across multiple fulfillment building types. Material handling elements may include high-speed sortation, multiple conveyors, package lines and/or robotic work cells

Evaluate issues and propose actionable resolutions to design problems

Identify and communicate needs for design improvements

Monitor and enforce project schedules and quality with vendors or subcontractors

Lead and coordinate design and execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors including equipment specifications, material flow, process design, and site layout

Develop and simplify processes and tools to improve execution efficiency across multiple programs

Contribute significantly to the material handling equipment (MHE) system firm engineering review process. Push for implementation of ideas and methods to improve overall system performance

Drive standards and consistency across North America capital execution projects

Develop and coordinate budget trackers and contract documents including RFPs, Milestone Trackers, Vendor Commissioning schedules, and Amazon Qualification schedules

Build strong working relationships with Global Specialty Fulfillment (GSF) leadership and their operations teams across multiple sites as well as their Launch, Facilities, Finance, Safety, Worldwide Engineering, and Process Engineering stakeholders

Oversee data mining and analyze the results to provide recommendations or conclusions

Support site-level change management submissions and evaluation; drive consistent improvement solutions across similar sites and programs

Travel up to 50%

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3+ years of experience in advanced data mining, analysis, and visualization

  • Proficient in maintaining and editing Quicksite dashboards and reporting tools

  • Demonstrated expertise in leveraging Microsoft Excel and Outlook to extract insights from complex data sets

  • Strong background in statistical analysis techniques, including regression, hypothesis testing, and predictive modeling

  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for operational improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in leading advanced data mining, analysis, and visualization projects

  • Expertise in developing and implementing BI solutions using tools beyond Quicksite, such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker

  • Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and unstructured data, including data cleaning and preprocessing techniques
