Job Summary:

The Alvis Laboratory, in collaboration with the Vascular Waveform Analysis Group, is seeking a highly motivated individuals interested in translational research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The selected candidate will engage in innovative research focused on non-invasive venous waveform analysis, along with data-waveform capture in the ICU for database creation.

Responsibilities include:

• Participating in human, porcine, and bench-top studies.

• Assisting with the setup and use of piezoelectric sensors for capturing venous waveforms.

• Contributing to the analysis and processing of waveform data to explore cardiac and respiratory components and their harmonics.

• Traveling to both VUMC and Wilson County hospitals for ICU data capture.

Our lab is actively conducting translational research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) and supports waveform research across multiple academic centers in the USA. Ongoing studies target conditions like acute hemorrhage, sepsis, burns, and more. This position offers a significant opportunity to develop skills in a cutting-edge research environment dedicated to improving physiological monitoring technologies.
