Vanderbilt University Research Assistant in Nashville, Tennessee

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join the team and work directly with the Founding Director of Vanderbilt’s Institute of National Security. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills, exceptional research capabilities, and the ability to create compelling and visually appealing presentations. This position is perfect for a recent undergraduate with an interest in national security.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough research on assigned topics.

• Write clear, concise, and well-structured reports and summaries.

• Develop high-quality presentations that effectively communicate research findings.

• Assist in the preparation of documents and materials for meetings and briefings.

• Collaborate with team members to support various research projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Political Science, International Relations, National Security).

• Strong writing and editing skills.

• Proven research abilities, including data collection and analysis.

• Proficiency in creating visually appealing presentations using software such as PowerPoint.

• Excellent people, organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience or coursework related to national security.

• Familiarity with research databases and tools.
