Job-Specific Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership on all Medicare/Medicaid cost settlement and supplemental payment projects, effectively supervising staff to provide quality deliverables within the defined deadlines.

  • Provide expert guidance in quality assurance reviews and reports completed by team members.

  • Review applicable Federal and State policies and regulations associated with various audit types.

  • Develop peer-to-peer performance review processes.

  • Develop quality control benchmarks and validation processes and metrics.

  • Develop internal audit plans and review a random sample of reports to ensure accuracy of our work.

  • Assist the Business Team in conducting research to determine compliance with relevant Medicare or other government program regulations.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of all audits, desk reviews, compliance reviews, and monitoring reviews required across the major product lines.

  • Support the completion of SOC reports on our Medicaid supplemental payment work and services.

  • Serve as the expert on quality standards.

  • Identify quality control issues and errors, as well as make recommendations for focused training and education programs to improve work outcomes.

  • Regularly report quality metrics proactively to manager, product line leads, and client engagement leads.

  • Hire and train quality assurance staff as needed based on strategic plan.

  • Track daily/weekly/monthly progress of team’s output and adjust targets as necessary.

  • Ensure open, proactive, and transparent communication with internal client-facing leads and project managers.

  • Ability to travel with advanced notice to meet with staff and attend in-person management team meetings.

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience with government and/or nonprofit finance office, accounting firm, consulting firm, Medicaid or other policy office

  • 5+ years experience in performing audit and other quality assurance reviews.

  • Demonstrated experience with Medicare and/or Medicaid regulations.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s or other graduate degree preferred, preferably with majors or concentrations in public administration, finance, accounting, business management, or another relevant field of study

  • Process excellence mindset with certifications in quality, Lean or Six Sigma

As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $111,100 – $122,800

Compensation:

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role below.
