✨Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Davidson County Juvenile Detention Center in Nashville, Tennessee ✨

The Davidson County Juvenile Detention Center is located in Downtown Nashville, right next to the Tennessee Titans stadium, we are dedicated to providing a safe, supportive environment for at-risk youth. As part of our team, you’ll help provide care and supervision for young individuals awaiting trial, offering a mix of education, counseling, medical and recreation services. You’ll monitor activities, document behavior, and assist in various programs to support the growth and development of youth aged 12-18. Pay: $30-$34/hr

What you will do: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a key member of the D.C.J.D.C. medical team, and provides for the general health care of students within the scope of your license. This may include administering immunizations, assisting with TB screen, flu vaccines, and the overall health maintenance of students and staff. As an LPN, you will also assist with training employees regarding relevant health care topics such as prevention of sports injuries, blood borne pathogens, CPR, First Aid, and behavioral disorders. This position assists in ordering supplies, pharmaceuticals, and other medical equipment for the medical team.

To be considered you should:

Have a High School diploma or equivalent and possess a current Licensed Practical Nursing Credential from the state in which employed. Have a minimum of two years of previous medical services administration, including demonstrated experience in operating and securing comprehensive health services programs. Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect. Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
