Improveit Home Remodeling Home Improvement Sales Trainer in Nashville, Tennessee

Extremely successful and fast-growing Midwest remodeling leader seeks a dynamic, driven Home Improvement Sales Trainer to lead outside sales new hire training in a specific market region.  

If you are an accomplished sales professional with a passion for training and developing others to their fullest potential, or you've been a highly successful sales manager, regional or national sales leader, or held other sales management positions and now want to teach others to be successful, this role may be perfect for you!

Ideal candidates for this role have either had successful sales or sales training careers in home improvement, home remodeling, replacement windows, bathroom remodeling, kitchen remodeling, roofing, siding, gutter protection systems, or other home services companies.

Home Improvement Sales Trainer Responsibilities:

  • Conducts regular sales training sessions, both in-person and virtual, to educate in-home design consultants (outside sales representatives) on our sales methodology and techniques, presentation, products, warranties, technology tools, and overall sales best practices.

  • Collaborates with the Sales Operations Director and Sales Leadership, providing feedback on class attendees and ways to continuously improve the training program.

  • Evaluates student progress, performance, and potential and provides assessments on each representative; makes recommendations regarding who should graduate to our 12-week training program.

  • Assists the Director of Sales Operations in the creation of the new training content, always seeking ways to improve the program and its effectiveness.

  • Oversees and owns the onboarding for all new Outsides Sales Reps, including managing onboarding paperwork, scheduling for the classes, gathering sales kits, arranging hotels, and setting up logins for a variety of programs and platforms.

  • Ensures all materials and student Learner's Guides are ready for each class.

  • Manages IT requests as it relates to new hire onboarding needs for each class.

  • Creates the Initial Training Reports for Sales Managers for graduated Outside Sales Reps

  • Facilitates and helps plan Boot Camp training for new and existing sales representatives.

Home Improvement Sales Trainer Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in Sales Management, Sales Training, Learning & Development, or Adult Education, required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Education, or related field, preferred

  • Proven past success in selling home improvement-related products and services.

  • Past experience in Home Improvement sales training, highly desired.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint.

  • Proficient in modern sales techniques and strategies.

  • Passion for educating and training others to be the best at their profession.

  • Knowledgeable about effective adult learning and education techniques.

  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly organized with great attention to detail.
