Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Nashville, Tennessee

Description

We are looking for a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee, 37218, United States. As part of our team, you will be responsible for managing our financial controls and guidelines, handling month-end financial processes. This role plays a crucial role in maintaining our company's financial health and ensuring our operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Develop an environment of trust and productivity within the accounting and procurement teams

• Oversee and facilitate the month-end financial close process, including bank and credit card reconciliations

• Prepare monthly financial statements and standard monthly journal entries with relevant support

• Manage the company's daily, weekly, and monthly accounts receivable and payable functions

• Handle responsibilities associated with insurances, tax payments, and other various scheduled tasks

• Research and analyze timekeeping and payroll information for approximately 30+ employees and submit to a third-party payroll company

• Assist with managing the 401k plan including reporting and year-end functions

• Perform Human Resource tasks such as benefit administration and onboarding

• Identify ways to reduce costs and improve efficiency

• Coordinate with company CPA to complete taxes

• Undertake other projects and duties as assigned by the CEO.

Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.

• Comprehensive understanding and practical experience with accounting functions.

• Proven experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Ability to prepare and manage the annual budget.

• Experience in conducting month-end close procedures.

• Proficiency in managing payroll functions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must possess strong attention to detail.

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
