Job Summary and Qualifications

As a member of CereCore, the Director of Implementation Delivery for HCA Professional Services is responsible for using a variety of methods to provide implementation delivery for all CereCore MEDITECH projects and services to HCA corporate and field operation clients. This position is a client-facing role responsible for business development across HCA entities. This role requires executive presence and communication skills to effectively interface and communicate with HCA leadership for new work requests and is responsible both for delivering existing projects and growing additional revenues within HCA, Parallon, and affiliated entities. This position also serves as the management of 40+ employees currently delivering project work at HCA and external clients.

Additional key responsibilities include developing and maintaining positive relationships with key HCA stakeholders including ITG and field-based senior leaders, and CereCore client leadership. This role will be responsible for managers and employees dedicated to implementation delivery for HCA, partnering with program delivery to maintain and develop new approaches to MEDITECH implementations, manage project portfolio partnerships, and participate in business development opportunities critical to driving profitability and growing the business.

Key skill set for this role include, strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, negotiate, and maintain solid relationships within HCA and external clients. Proven team leadership skills and the ability to cultivate a healthy work environment, set direction and motivate a high-performance team will be crucial to success.

Implementation Delivery

  • Collaborate with HCA leaders and CereCore program delivery leaders on delivery portfolio and milestones; provide leadership for multiple projects occurring simultaneously.

  • Provide partnership and oversight for MEDITECH implementations that serve corporate and field operations led projects.

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for staff, leadership, and clients, resolving conflicts involving scheduling, resources and/or technical issues.

  • Partner with program delivery leaders to structure strategic resource utilization for advanced/complex, large, medium and small projects.

  • Provide guidance and feedback to program delivery, managers, and staff to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

  • Understand HCA client roadmaps; partner with program delivery to schedule projects and facilitate success.

  • Work with HCA leaders to support new efforts and direct solution development interaction.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationship with HCA Professional Service and MEDITECH Professional Service leadership to support strategic planning and practice alignment.

  • Partner with program delivery to develop scope, analyze level of effort, project requirements, review work orders and route for approvals.

  • Continue enhancement of HCA MEDITECH implementation methodologies.

  • Act as a solution leader to identify cost reduction opportunities.

  • Collaborate with ITG and associated ITG portfolio organizations (PSG, CSG, Parallon) on MEDITECH related initiatives, knowledge share and alignment.

Operational/Administrative & Staff Development

  • Provide leadership and continuous improvement of people and practice management.

  • Conducts career planning, training, mentoring, and staff development.

  • Staff quarterly and annual performance reviews.

  • Lead and develop staff, oversee hiring and training for new employees.

  • Personal leadership development and succession planning.

  • Management meetings and 1:1 engagement.

  • Skip levels with employees.

  • Provide practice communication.

  • Protect and grow practice by managing staff; provide guidance and assimilate feedback from clients to actively drive process improvement and culture change.

  • Partner with Program Delivery to manage project targets; manage P&L targets and tracking monthly financial projections.

  • Provide executive level program delivery presentations/metrics to client and CereCore leadership.

  • Work with leadership to review and improve processes and tools, and recommend emerging technology solutions.

  • Develop, implement, and assess processes as necessary to support staff, practice, and clients.

  • Develop onboarding, internal/external training, knowledge share content for peer-to-peer mentoring/knowledge sharing.

  • Collaborate with leadership and marketing to review areas of focus to grow the business.

  • Assess situations, formalize options and provide recommendations.

  • Prioritize own tasks and assist peers with task identification and documentation.

  • Participate in and implement CereCore business strategies and goals.

  • Maintain a commitment to personal, professional, and team leadership development.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proven leadership managing staff in building highly efficient teams maximizing utilization.

  • Proven ability in developing, implementing and managing efficient processes.

  • Proven leadership in MEDITECH implementations with a proven track record of execution and results.

  • Proven leadership in Client Relations; ability to build and maintain relationships.

  • Strong experience in implementations and healthcare/IT.

Management Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role

  • 5+ years of experience in Clinical Application related positions

  • 5+ years of experience in developing revenue-generating service offerings

  • 5+ years of experience in servicing external revenue-generating clients

  • 5+ years of experience in Healthcare related services Preferred

  • Master's Degree preferred

  • Able to travel up to 25%
