Actalent is seeking a Controls Engineer for a role near Nashville, TN. This is a full-time opportunity with a lot of room for growth. The role is doing integration and commissioning, and the Engineer will travel domestically and internationally for short-term stints during the commissioning phase.

Responsibilities:

· Control systems & panel design - this includes: motor controls, PLCs, HMIs, and networking

· Control system documentation - includes: schematic development, theory of operations development, FAT & SAT test development

· Program PLCs

· Program HMIs, VFDs, SCADAs

· Hands On Controls Commissioning

· Integration of automation systems

· When project is in commissioning phase, travel to client site to commission and do field testing (majority of the time will be spent in the office and not traveling)

Requirements:

· Bachelor Degree in Engineering or relevant experience

· 3+ years of experience

· Experience programming PLCs

· Independent problem-solving skills

· Willing to travel up to 30%

Preferred Skills:

· Commissioning experience is preferred

· Siemens TIA Portal experience is preferred

· Ignition experience is preferred
