Cigna Healthcare is seeking a Program Epic Owner to support a large multi-year roadmap initiative within the Provider Network Strategy & Solutions business team.
We are seeking a healthcare leader that is highly effective in the ability to solicit, consume, analyze and compose business requirements documentation across cross-functional tools and teams with varying degrees of Agile expertise. The successful Business Program Epic Owner will have a strong Product and Project management background with demonstrated ability to groom a business opportunity from high-level concept into well-defined solution ready for implementation. The ability to thrive and drive work in a high paced, rapidly changing Agile delivery environment is a key success factor for this role.
Responsibilities Overview
Work in a leadership capacity to define business solutions, value and priority at the program epic level. Monitor timeliness of execution and value realization along the targeted schedule.
Manage short and long-term business and solution roadmaps that inform and optimize both value delivery and modernization of processes and technology
Establish standard operating procedures and process models to support intake, refinement and execution in collaboration with peers and SMEs
Partner with technology and enterprise architecture to ensure business requirements for the capability are clearly articulated for delivery at the Program Epic/Solution Layer
Develop end to end solution guidance in partnership with business sponsors and delivery leads by driving activities to identify business capability uplifts and business solutions that maximize business value and enable defined business strategies
Some travel required (10%)

Ability to lead and influence in a matrixed environment, developing strong relationships with both business and IT leadership
Strong decision facilitation skills, able to define options and their implications, and broadly socialize recommendations
Strong business acumen - proven ability to leverage knowledge base to quickly come up to speed in new business areas and new types of projects

Comfortable with raising questions, issues, ideas or suggestions to co-workers at all levels across all organizations.
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and training, along with excellent presentation skills and information discernment based on audience (executive vs stakeholder vs delivery team).
Required Skills & Experience
5-10 years of related work experience, either as a management consultant, business architect, business analyst, business process engineer, program manager, program epic owner or product manager
Knowledge of health care business and technology domains
Experience with large claim engine implementations
Ability to leverage Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate to expert level to tell a story through roadmaps, presentations, data aggregation, process flows.
Ability to harvest information from multiple sources at a granular level to synthesize into consumable materials for varying audiences; Executive Leadership, Senior Leadership, Business Operations, Technology Operations, Team level vs Program level
Ability to navigate on-screen documentation and collaboration tools to drive comprehension and efficiency in a blend of virtual and on-site forums (core tools; Confluence, Jira, Mural, Power Point, Excel).
Ability to self-orient in a Train the Trainer capacity to Cigna Portfolio Delivery processes and tools to drive understanding across business and technology teams.
Preferred
Health Care Provider Network and Value-Based Care knowledge
Agile and Project Management certification preferred (PMI, POPM, RTE, STE); six Sigma training also valued
Bachelors/Master’s Degree preferred

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 106,100 - 176,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
