Are you passionate about supporting legal professionals in a dynamic environment? We are seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join an establish legal firm in Nashville, TN! This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with attorneys and play a key role in managing bankruptcy cases and legal proceedings.

salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

education: Associate

Responsibilities

  • Manage bankruptcy cases and prepare legal documents for attorneys, ensuring timely filing in Federal Court using electronic systems.

  • Coordinate administrative tasks such as scheduling hearings, organizing case files, and managing logistics.

  • Maintain indexes for pleadings and discovery materials.

  • Organize exhibits, evidence, briefs, and appendices.

  • Conduct lien searches, prepare summaries, and file legal documents like financing statements, deeds, and mortgages.

  • Research business entities, summarize filings, and prepare necessary documents.

  • Conduct factual investigations using client files, public records, and online resources.

  • Perform legal research on platforms like Westlaw and other online databases.

  • Conduct public records searches through various online tools.

  • Draft correspondence to clients and third parties explaining legal claims.

  • Perform additional legal and operational duties as needed.
