We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team based in Nashville, Tennessee. The role calls for supervising both our accounting and accounts payable team to ensure work is accurately completed in a timely manner. The successful candidate will be responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting and will be expected to develop and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise, train, and provide direction to a team of accountants.

• Assess the development of the department - workload, staffing, time off, training, and evaluating, and developing procedures and department goals.

• Coach and train team members; mentor staff accountants by helping them explore their passions and move their careers forward.

• Manage the timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process, ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded.

• Perform detailed review of balance sheet account reconciliations and actual vs. budget reporting.

• Ensure accurate and timely processing and provide positive pay transactions.

• Responsible for the monthly and quarterly bank compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner.

• Evaluate, develop, and improve department controls, systems, and procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency.

• Support budget and forecasting activities.

• Collaborate with the other finance department managers to develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions which could have a financial impact on the business.

• Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Auditing and Billing Functions

• Proficiency in NetSuite

• Experience with Month End Close.

Requirements • Must hold a managerial or supervisory position within the accounting field for at least 5 years

• Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems

• Demonstrated understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with auditing practices

• Proficient in handling Billing Functions

• Experience with NetSuite software is a plus

• Capable of managing Month End Close processes.
