In Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions, we provide next-generation threat detection and countermeasure solutions to provide unparalleled electronic warfare capabilities to enhance mission survivability.

BAE Systems is looking for an Electrical Engineer Principal Test on the Advanced Compact EW Solutions (ACES) Technical Operations Team. Our Technical Operations team supports the assembly, test and inspection of many ACES products and we regularly interface, collaborate and support Engineering, Systems, Supply Chain, Quality and Operations Functions to meet business and customer's needs. This position will support multiple factories in Nashua, NH including the Area 5 factory after necessary clearances have been obtained.

This position will include the following duties:

  1. Support production, with troubleshooting and debug of electro-mechanical assemblies, working directly with technicians and design engineering personnel.

  2. Support Systems Engineering with debug and evaluation, resolution, and provide appropriate direction to operations personnel to perform necessary rework.

  3. Support test equipment validation, maintenance, and improvement for bench top manual, software automated and applicable Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) equipment.

  4. Interface with Engineering and other supporting groups to drive electrical or test related defect resolution to root cause.

  5. Provide training / support to manufacturing personnel.

  6. Generate and implement improvements in test design, processes, and methodologies to reduce cost, improve capacity, and increase throughput.

  7. Generate and review the technical content of test procedures, drawings, engineering specifications, reports, Engineering Change Orders, and other documentation associated with the design and build of digital and RF electronic warfare products.

Full-time onsite: Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Strong demonstrated ability in isolating electrical failures to root cause in electrical and RF domains.

  • Proficient at interpreting engineering documentation including but not limited to schematics, assembly drawings, and component data sheets.

  • Experienced with test equipment and calibration process.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 5-6 years experience.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills ability to motivate others.

  • Understanding of basic Lean Manufacturing principles.

  • Extensive knowledge of electrical and RF subassemblies.

  • Experience with RF and digital test equipment.

  • Familiarity with automated and manual test equipment.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Products.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $115779 - $196825

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
