TEKsystems OSP Field Specialist in Naples, Florida

Description:

The OSP Field Specialist is present on fiber optic construction projects to ensure the fiber plant is built properly and meets project requirements. This position will manage the various field activities on the project in conjunction with obtaining detailed field records for the fiber construction process.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of Fiber Engineering, Outside Plant, and field operation processes required for each project inclusive of budget, design, engineering, permitting, construction, splicing, and close out packages.

• Understanding of FTTP engineering and architecture.

• Knowledge of Fiber splicing processes and procedures.

• Follow and document job site QA/QC process for all stages of fiber construction.

• Collaborate with General Contractors setting expectations, provide feedback/guidance, and ensure work is being performed

• Orchestrate internal and external customer project communications, milestones, and overall progress.

• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across multiple diverse stakeholders (team, leadership, internal partners, vendors, local governments agencies, and customers, etc.).

• Communicate regularly with management regarding problems or issues impacting production.

• Exceptional work ethic. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and extended hours, as necessary.

• Supports with customer escalations resulting from the construction process including damage claim repairs and customer communication.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid Driver’s license

• Experience in OSP fiber networks, engineering, and construction required.

• Experience with project budgeting, design, engineering, permitting, material forecasting, construction, splicing, and close out packages required.

• Exceptional work ethic. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and extended hours, as necessary.

• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across multiple diverse stakeholders (team, leadership, internal partners, vendors, local governments agencies, and customers, etc.).

• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

• Strong organizational skills, excellent communication
