FirstService Residential Food and Beverage Manager in Naples, Florida

Job Overview:

As a Food & Beverage Manager, you’ll be responsiblefor overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring high-quality service, and maintaining exceptional standards in all dining and event experiences. This role requires a hands-on leader with a passion for culinary arts, a commitment to hospitality, and a keen ability to enhance member satisfaction.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Dining Operations Management:
  • Lead and oversee the food and beverage service team, ensuring smooth operations across all dining areas, bars, and events.
  • Coordinate with the Executive Chef and culinary team to ensure a cohesive and exceptional dining experience that aligns with the club’s high standards.
  • Maintain quality control over food presentation, service, and overall dining atmosphere to exceed member expectations.
  1. Member and Guest Experience:
  • Foster an engaging and welcoming environment for members and guests, anticipating needs, and personalizing service to elevate the Quarry Beach Club experience.
  • Proactively handle member feedback, complaints, and suggestions to continuously improve food and beverage offerings.
  • Ensure a positive dining experience through attention to detail, service excellence, and professional demeanor from the team.
  1. Team Development and Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, and mentor the food and beverage team, emphasizing service standards, culinary knowledge, and private club etiquette.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to develop team members’ service skills and culinary awareness, fostering a high-performing and motivated team.
  • Set clear performance goals, monitor progress, and provide ongoing coaching to maintain high service standards.
  1. Financial and Inventory Management:
  • Manage food and beverage budgets, monitor costs, and optimize profitability while maintaining quality.
  • Oversee inventory levels, ordering, and supplier relationships to ensure product availability and manage costs effectively.
  • Implement cost controls and monitor expense reports to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  1. Event Coordination and Execution:
  • Collaborate with the events team to plan and execute member events, private parties, and club functions, ensuring all food and beverage needs are met.
  • Manage the service and culinary aspects of events, ensuring smooth and memorable experiences that align with the club’s standards.
  • Coordinate with the culinary team on special menus and presentations to meet the unique expectations of private events.
  1. Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for members, guests, and staff.
  • Conduct regular safety training and inspections to uphold the club’s commitment to member and employee well-being.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree, and/or equivalent Food and Beverage or Hospitality experience.
  • 5 years customer service experience.
  • 5 years food and beverage experience.
  • 5 years supervisor / managerial experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • Must know and comply with Alcohol and Beverage Control (ABC) laws and requirements.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

  • Experience managing a wine club and developing engaging culinary action stations for events.

  • Ability to multi task effectively and efficiently with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees, members and other stakeholders.
  • Must be able to handle pressure and deadlines related to the job.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 20 – 35 lbs;
  • Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time;
  • Walk and climb stairs;
  • Handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment;
  • Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms;
  • Communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word;
  • Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions;
  • Complete all required forms.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly or indirectly supervise associates within the assigned property.

As a full-time exempt associate, you will be eligible for full comprehensive benefits to include your choice of multiple medical plans, dental, and vision. In addition, you will be eligible for time off benefits, paid holidays, and a 401k with company match. Occasional travel may be required to attend training and other company functions.

Compensation: $65,000 annually
