The Job

As a Purchasing Engineer, you’ll be part of our Supply Chain team located in Nantong, China You’ll get to:

Work with SQE or engineering or production to develop new sources as per the requirement from the company

Ensure that proposed suppliers’ operating and legal principles meet the company’s requirements, conduct supplier QSM audit with SQE to qualify new suppliers or annual supplier audit.

Make sure that supplier recommendation is based on quotation analysis, benchmarking, cost simulation, quality, delivery, and legal considerations.

Supplier management: conduct vendor qualifications and performance evaluation, work with other departments for the delivery or quality improvement actions of suppliers. Supplier consolidation or development base on the actual status.

Make sure all the contract and quotation are well managed and documented, latest quotation needs to be updated in QAD system in time. Contracts (including: commercial agreement, quality agreement, NDA and so on) needs to be re-signed before it expires.

Work with each supplier on annual cost reduction & better payment term to meet target set by company

Risk management: make sure that we have backup suppliers for key materials or services.

The Person

Bachelor degree in mechanical or material or engineering in multicultural environment

5+ years proven working experience in supplier Sourcing,negotiation, comprehensive understanding of commercial terms and conditions related to procurement of goods and services, experience and good understanding of supply contracts regarding management of statement of work requirements and supplier deliverables

Strong technology, engineering, and systems integration practices in Electronics, Automotive and Construction, Business management with Basic process knowledge on welding / machining / Assy / Test area.

Solid experience of supplier development and management, including supplier survey, supplier QSM audit & qualification, Supplier Performance Evaluation and Improvement from suppliers after Evaluation.

Good Project Leader with strong managerial & organizational skills to work across all functions and levels of an Ability to make sound business judgments related to strategic supply philosophies and initiatives

Good management in RFQ, Purchasing Contract, Costing Analysis, Cost Reduction and Working Capital Extension.

Good Team player to consistently achieve results, Open and Good Communication skills, verbal and written, have experience to handle with suppliers who is difficult to deal with (unique suppliers & single source and others …) ability to communicate effectively to varied audiences (cross cultural)

Demonstrated proficiency in English & Mandarin, both spoken and written

High level of integrity and good communication skills with internal or external contact windows, act as good team member
