Aston Carter is hiring for a Buyer role in the Myerstown area!

This position compiles information for the procurement of materials. The role involves verifying specifications of purchase requests, checking inventory records to determine if materials are available in sufficient quantities, and consulting catalogs and interviewing suppliers to obtain prices. The Procurement Specialist will compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates, and will confer with suppliers concerning late deliveries. Additionally, they will verify bills from suppliers with bids and purchase orders, approving bills for payment.

Responsibilities

• Interface with suppliers for communication, sourcing, and negotiation

• Review and track purchase orders through the purchasing process

• Input all changes into the purchasing system, including inventory purchase orders, price changes, and system updates

• Prepare and file all purchasing-related documents

• Prepare and complete all purchasing reports as required

• Perform any other duties as required by management

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of purchasing experience

• Supplier negotiation experience

• ERP experience

The working hours are Monday to Thursday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Friday from 7:00 am to 11:00 am.
