Description:

Great opportunity for a Health Information Management Tech II, to analyze health records for documentation compliance in accordance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Will perform documentation imaging functions and including quality control and validation. Supports our HIM department functions such as coordination of audits, and reconciliation of records. Validates accuracy of master patient index data, and patient demographics.

Requirements for working as a Health Information Management Tech II

  • High School Diploma

  • Associates or bachelor’s in health-care related field (preferred)

  • Medical Terminology

  • 1-2 years of health records experience

What a Health Information Management Tech II will do:

  • Reviews all discharged inpatient and outpatient records for completeness.

  • Performs document imaging tasks, including preparation, scanning, and quality

  • Customer Service – distributing reports to providers, responding quickly and positively to customers while exhibiting a professional manner
