Job Title: 2nd Shift Process Engineer
Job Description
The Process Support Engineer is responsible for developing processes to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements are met. This role involves troubleshooting production issues and leading the implementation of manufacturing process improvements. The goal is to meet customer specifications and delivery requirements while continually improving and achieving established company goals.
Responsibilities
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and rules.
Promote safety awareness and commitment at all times.
Maintain confidentiality of information received, created, or processed.
Support operations by assisting in troubleshooting, setting up, and running machinery as needed.
Assist in the supervision of production employees.
Participate in continuous improvement activities to support customer corrective actions, internal corrective/preventive actions, error-proofing, and general process improvement.
Assist in the execution of manufacturing plans.
Define, develop, and document setup instructions for specific part numbers and equipment.
Create process documentation, setup procedures, capacity models, and operating instructions, and provide training to all affected personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Essential Skills
Experience in manufacturing engineering and process engineering.
Proficiency in Six Sigma methodologies.
Experience with spring coil machinery troubleshooting.
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
At least 2 years of experience in industrial engineering within the metal manufacturing or metal stamping industry.
At least 2 years of experience in troubleshooting machines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with any machine troubleshooting is acceptable.
Work Environment
This is a 2nd shift opening with a shift schedule of 4-10's from Monday through Thursday. The 2nd shift hours are from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM. The team on the 2nd shift consists of 7 people, who tend to be laid-back, come in, do their job, and leave with minimal collaboration. The work environment requires wearing many hats and being open to troubleshooting and setting up machines. The Muskego location manufactures screws, springs, and linkages for automotive, appliance, power sports, and medical industries. The company has 100 employees across two locations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00
