Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Electrical Maintenance Technicians to join our team in supporting various areas of our plant including the cold mill, hot mill, cast house, element 13, or roll shop. The role involves working in a heavy industrial environment, providing preventative and corrective maintenance, and installing equipment. This is a direct hire position with immediate eligibility for benefits and opportunities for continued training and development.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment

• Conduct corrective maintenance as needed

• Install and commission new equipment

• Work with rolling mills, conveyors, CNC machines, casting equipment, and furnaces

• Troubleshoot and repair PLC systems, AC/DC drives, 3-phase motors, and high voltage equipment

• Maintain and repair switchgear and generators

• Ensure precision and attention to detail due to tight equipment tolerances

Essential Skills

• Journeyman Electrician certification

• 5+ years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial setting

• Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting

• Experience with AC/DC drives and high voltage equipment

• Knowledge of electrical installation and repairs

• Ability to commission equipment

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Industrial Electrician experience

• Knowledge of Siemens PLC systems

• Skills in wiring and electrical troubleshooting

Work Environment

This is a heavy industrial environment where no part of the plant is climate-controlled. You will be working in varying temperatures, from very hot in the summer to very cold in the winter, often around furnaces. The campus is large and may seem overwhelming initially, but you will be assigned to a specific department with its own manager and training program. The facility is tobacco-free, and no jewelry is permitted. You will be working 12-hour shifts, either during the day or night. There is a union in one department, but the rest of maintenance is non-union. There are opportunities for growth within the company by testing to different levels for pay increases or switching departments for further development.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Muscle Shoals, Alabama.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $79040.00/yr.
