Description

Robert Half is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PC Technician to provide on-site and remote technical support to our employees/clients. The PC Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining computer systems, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including operating system problems, application errors, and network connectivity issues.

• Perform hardware repairs and replacements, including diagnosing faulty components and installing new parts.

• Install and configure operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS) and software applications.

• Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person interactions.

• Document all support activities, including troubleshooting steps and resolutions, in a ticketing system.

• Maintain an inventory of hardware and software.

• Assist with network setup and maintenance, including cabling, router configuration, and basic network troubleshooting.

• Adhere to company policies and procedures related to IT security and data privacy.

• Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and advancements.

  Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred.

• Proven experience as a PC Technician or in a similar role.

• Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

• Experience with various operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS) and software applications.

• Ability to diagnose and repair hardware problems.

• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
