AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Key job responsibilities

The CEE ISV team works with Software Companies in Central and Eastern Europe. We work with customers of various sizes, verticals and stages of their cloud journey - from established companies who are well-known leaders in their segments to smaller companies brainstorming their first ideas; from all-in-the-cloud to those just starting their migrations.

We are open to hiring across several CEE locations (incl. Munich, Prague, Budapest)

As a Senior Solutions Architect at AWS you will build technical relationships with Independent Software Vendors of all sizes and operate as their trusted advisor, helping them build and run successful products on AWS and ensuring they get the most out of the cloud at every stage of their journey.

You will manage the overall technical relationship between AWS and our customers. You will work with customers' multiple technical stakeholders to understand their business, needs and priorities and help customers achieve their goals on AWS.

You will design cloud architectures for variety of use cases in line with customers long-term business goals, taking security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency into account.

Internally, you will be the voice of the customer, sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS features.

You will define and execute on the account strategy by working together with other internal teams (Account Managers, Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers).

You will act as a thought leader in the wider community, playing a key role in educating, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing blogs, developing technical content (e.g. solutions or samples) and running workshops.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients

  • Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures

  • Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).

  • Fluency in English is essential, additional CEE languages (e.g. Ukrainian, Hungarian, Czech) are advantageous

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a technical role within a sales organization

  • Experience with software or Internet industries
