Key job responsibilities
Drive and participate in national and international accounting projects
Worldwide business partnering within the Amazon group, liaising with Tax and Legal departments
Integration of new regions into the existing processes
Responsibility for month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing of financial books.
Assessment and evaluation of GAAP to GAAP differences
Drive improvements in accounting processes, internal workflows and the implementation of best practices

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
Strong knowledge in US-GAAP or IFRS and any other local GAAP
Several years of experience with an emphasis on accounting and financial reporting
Operational Accounting experience
Excellent communication skills with fluent English
Proficient Microsoft Excel User
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan
Entrepreneurial, hands on, can-do attitude and ability to think outside the box
