Burns & McDonnell India's Global Facilities (GFS) Global Practice. GFS is a multi-discipline team that provides engineering services for Facilities projects in the North America region which includes facilities like hyperscale data centers,

food & consumer product, pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, manufacturing, airports, and institutional facilities. The Mumbai office has a full complement of professionals with expertise in Architectural, Structural, Civil, Fire Protection, Mechanical, Electrical engineering, and Project Management services. The Structural engineer will work closely with the lead Engineer and designer who can support engineering deliveries on project.

Responsibilities

As a Structural Engineer, you will:

·Analyze and design various super structures and foundations for industrial facilities, design steel and concrete buildings.

·Prepare detail design calculation report and review the detail drawings and layout.

·Review and analyze geotechnical report and provide comments/clarifications.

·Review equipment vendor drawings and fabrication drawings.

·Capture internal client requirements and if needed, advise them regarding structural/civil systems/requirements available to meet their needs and comply with safety codes.

·Coordinate with other disciplines, client(s) and other stake holder(s) to develop a clash free system design.

·Manage the assigned scope within agreed schedule and budget.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the following tools:

·Any design software/tool like STAAD Pro, Risa 3D, SAFE, ETABs, etc.

·AutoCAD

·Knowledge of Navisworks will be added advantage.

·Knowledge of REVIT (Structural) or TEKLA will be an added advantage.

·Microsoft Office Tools – MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Outlook, OneNote.

Qualifications

·Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution. Masters in Structural Engineering will be an added advantage.

·Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

·Minimum 3 to 5 years of working experience in Civil/Structural design for industrial facilities and building.

·Understanding of codes and standards (ASCE, ACI, IBC, AISC) and their applicability for practical design of industrial facilities and buildings.

·Dynamic personality, eagerness to learn and interested in a stable commitment.

·Willingness to advance in career by taking increased responsibilities on projects and organization.

·A committed team player able to work on own initiative.

·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·Good Communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to self-check and produce accurate work.
