Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Urban Designer to collaborate with our esteemed aviation client to work collaboratively on complex urban design projects across multiple airports in India. As a Senior Urban Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the experience of airports, ensuring adherence to design standards, budgets, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Feasibility study: Generate creative and innovative urban design concepts that align with the project's goals, budget, and timeline.

  • Master Planning: development and implementation of comprehensive master plans for various components at various scales within the airports.

  • Collaboration: Experience of coordination with senior management, development authorities, govt agencies and similar stakeholders. Collaborate with external consultant and Internal project teams to develop detailed master plans, drawings, and specifications.

  • Analysis: Utilize demographic, economic, and geographic data to inform planning decisions and strategies.

  • Strategy: Develop comprehensive urban design strategies, master plans, and zoning guidelines that enhance the functionality, sustainability, and livability of urban spaces.

  • Land Use Planning : Assess land use patterns, zoning regulations, and policy frameworks to guide development. Ensure adherence to local zoning regulations, building codes, and land use policies. Collaborate with government agencies and authorities.

  • Transportation and Landside Planning: Integrate transportation solutions, transit-oriented development, and multi-modal transportation systems into planning efforts. Develop plans and solutions for various components related to airport landside.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with community members, government agencies, and stakeholders to gather input, build consensus, and address concerns.

  • Policy Development: Contribute to the development of planning policies, guidelines, and regulations.

  • Design Excellence: Develop innovative and sustainable urban design solutions that enhance the functionality, aesthetics, and livability of urban areas.

  • Client Collaboration: Engage with clients, stakeholders, and community members to understand their vision and goals and translate them into actionable design concepts.

  • Research and Analysis: Conduct urban research and analysis to inform design decisions, incorporating best practices, emerging trends, and sustainable design principles.

  • Sustainability: Incorporate sustainable design principles and environmental considerations into master plans.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 15 years in urban design, with a focus on landside planning.

Software Skills : Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, MS Office, GIS).

Education: Bachelor’s degree in architecture with Master’s degree in urban design/ urban planning from a reputed institute
